About Us

Valerie Harrington was born in Pueblo, CO. After graduating from Pueblo East High School, she followed her heart and moved to Denver. During that time, she spent time working for Arapahoe, Denver, and Adams counties in the Human Services Departments with abused and neglected children. Even though she loved working with families and helping them stay together, life moved her into the insurance world after she was hit by a drunk driver which led her to begin a passionate journey of protecting others. She began working with Primerica Financial Services in 1999, obtaining the title of District Leader and supervising a team of 13 associates. 

Valerie's love for helping others was a perfect fit, however her growing family changed her direction. Life moved her and her family to Arizona in 2012, where she stepped away from Financial Planning to raise her family. In September 2016, Valerie accepted  a position with Liberty Mutual as a customer care specialist. She realized that this position was not where she was meant to be, and accepted a sales position in Colorado as a Personal Insurance Sales Agent. Although she loved working for a great company like Liberty Mutual, she immediately realized that her customers needed more from her.

 In September 2017, Phoenix Rising Insurange was founded, with the sole intention of putting "People over Policies". Specializing in commerical and personal insurance, Valerie has brought her 24 years of insurance experience back home to Pueblo, CO. Proudly insuring families in Colorado and Arizona, Phoenix Rising Insurance Group Inc. is a full service brokerage that is focused on properly protecting their clients by addressing customer needs one by one. She believes in treating everyone like family, and takes time to thoroughly analyze each individual situation to find the best possible plan available. Through her business she hopes to reach far into the community by participating in events and other activities that promote positive experiences witin the community.
